Another Amazing Milestone and Thank You!
Hey everyone, we have another awesome milestone for CastleScape, my game design that I have poured thousands of hours into over the past 6 years. In case you weren't around for the campaign last May, I ended up deciding to do everything myself: designing the game, commissioning art, running my own Kickstarter campaign, and publishing/fulfilling it.
It's been a VERY long road, but as I was looking back through old pictures while making this post, I was filled with an immense sense of both pride and humility. Pride because I've made it over sooooo many hurdles and learned an incredible amount of things. Humility because an insane amount of people have helped me along the way - thousands of responses to my posts, hundreds of playtesters, countless hours from family, ~1000 backers on Kickstarter - I never could have done it without all of the support I've gotten from the board game community.
Today, I'm insanely excited to announce that manufacturing for CastleScape is complete. There are now only a few hurdles left until I have the games in the hands of my backers.
I have a few photos from the factory that I'd love to share (as well as a bit of a montage from my early design, all the way through what the product will look like when you get it - the pictures are chronological if you want to see the progression through time). Someday I'll take the time to actually write down this whole experience and put the pictures with it. That could probably be a blog all of its own...
Anyways, thank you for reading this, and thank you so much to all of you. Thank you all for your time, your thoughtful answers and insights, your laughs, your support for the campaign, and all around just being incredible humans.
I can't wait to get this game into your hands, and I'm excited to start seeing CastleScape pop up on tables, in retailers, and in cafes around the world.
Thank you!
